27.08.2019 – The past weekend test session at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão (P) has finally concluded the summer break for the Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions Team.
Lucio Pedercini’s team took full advantage of the official WorldSBK test session with all its riders. Jordi Torres (ESP) rode the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR with which he is involved in the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship, while Ayrton Badovini (ITA) and Kyle Smith (GB) have grinded kilometres with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R on which they are competing in the FIM Supersport World Championship season.
Both for the Ninja ZX-10RR and the two 600cc bikes the team’s work was particularly productive. The staff of Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions, together with the riders and the engineers, experimented with various solutions on which there had not yet been an opportunity to work. The team was able to highlight the best performing ideas to develop their potential, thus indicating the direction to continue in the performance growth.
The test was a key moment in the development of the sports project of the Italian team that is working for a medium to long term program in both categories. The track sessions have also made it possible to study and develop technical solutions and fine-tuning that riders can benefit from for the next Acerbis Portuguese Round, the tenth appointment of the season scheduled in Portimão from 6th to 8th September.
Lucio Pedercini – Team Owner:
“Let’s say that it was the first real test we could take this year. The past test session in Misano was really challenging and the weather conditions made quite impossible the testing, but here in Portugal we worked much better. We have never driven with qualifying solutions, our aim was not to score fastest times, but to study new solutions that could be an upgrade from the next race. I must say that we are satisfied with the outcome of the test. The drivers have had positive sensations, on some occasions they have also been very fast. We have understood what worked and what didn’t and we are very motivated for the next race of the season”.
