Positive two days of testing in Misano for the Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions

31.05.2019 – An important opportunity for development has just come to an end for the Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions which, on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th, was busy on the Misano World Circuit for a test session in preparation for the next appointments of the MOTUL FIM Superbike 2019 World Championship and the FIM Supersport 2019 World Championship.

On the 4.226 meters of the track dedicated to Marco Simoncelli, Lucio Pedercini’s team has seen all the riders involved: Jordi Torres (ESP) riding the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR #81, Ayrton Badovini (ITA) and Kyle Smith (GB) on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R #86 and #11.

The Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions tackled the track together with the official teams involved in the WorldSBK 2019 to test some new set-up solutions and some technical improvements on the bikes. The weather was not very clement, however, and reduced the windows of dry track in which to carry out tests in line with the conditions that the riders will meet in the next rounds.

Despite this, the sensations of the drivers have been very positive with important timing feedback and an excellent development of the package that has allowed the team to take important steps when the championship is preparing to live its central phase. A new fork was tested on Jordi Torres’ Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR #81 and the Spanish driver was able to ride on both race and qualifying tyres. On the two Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6Rs driven by Badovini and Smith, work was focused on geometry and set-up to give the riders more confidence on the bike.

Lucio Pedercini – Team Owner:
“This year the rain is particularly important in our programs, and after Imola also here in Misano we had to reduce our testing program because of the bad weather. On Wednesday we also raced on rain tyres, but we did the main on Thursday when we finally managed to ride with Jordi on qualifying tyres and we were able to make some specific updates that we had prepared for the Misano tests. The drivers had a good feeling from this test, we have analyzed a lot of data and we have taken decisive steps in view of the next commitments. We now have a very delicate phase of the season ahead of us, with the races in Jerez, Misano, Donington and Laguna Seca giving us an important direction before the last part of the championship”.

The Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions will be back on track from June 7th to 9th for the sixth round of the season at the Jerez (ESP) circuit.
