02.10.2019 – David Salom and Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions will join forces for the 2020 season, competing in the WorldSSP300 category, with David fulfilling the role as Team Manager of their two-rider effort.
The former rider, from Mallorca, returns to what was his ‘home’ for three Superbike World Championship seasons.
This new adventure, in which he will direct the Italian team’s WorldSSP300 next season, is one that he faces with great enthusiasm.
Overall, the Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions will have two riders in WorldSBK (Jordi Torres and Lorenzo Savadori), two riders in WorldSSP (Kyle Smith and Ayrton Badovini) and now two WorldSSP300 riders – yet to be defined.
The riders will be chosen by the well-respected EVO World Champion of 2014, David Salom. He will share all the experience he has acquired over several years as both a rider and a Team Manager in his own right.
The Italian-based squad aims to conquer the Riders’ and Teams’ championship titles – something David already has experience of, as his DS Junior Team won the WorldSSP300 championship in 2018.
“I face this latest challenge with great enthusiasm. After having my own team Lucio offered me the opportunity to join forces for 2020. We have always had a good relationship and this project is both ambitious and exciting. We can fight to regain the title of WorldSSP300 Teams’ world champion together with a very important name in the world of motorcycling; Pedercini. He and his team offer us everything we need, a close-knit team and a family environment. I am happy to be able to join together with Team Pedercini by Global Solutions, a historic set-up in WorldSBK. They have a lot of experience and together we will be stronger to achieve our shared goals.”
Lucio Pedercini – Team Manager:
“I am very happy about this new joint venture with David Salom. We’ve known each other for many years and we have a great friendship, made up of a real passion for motorcycling and a desire for excellence. I’ve decided to focus on him for this new adventure in the WorldSSP300 and I’m sure it’s the best choice to aim at the top of the category. We have great ambitions and we’ll try our best to be protagonists on the track”.
