Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions heads oversea again for the penultimate round of 2019 in Argentina

08.10.2019 – The European season being over, Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions are gearing up for the penultimate round of the Motul FIM World Superbike 2019 and FIM World Supersport 2019 Championships that are scheduled for this coming weekend at the circuit in San Juan Villicum (ARG).

The Italian team will field the usual lineup with Jordi Torres (ESP) on the #81 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR who will be at the debut in the Motul Argentinean Round in WorldSBK, while Ayrton Badovini (ITA) and Kyle Smith (GB) will be respectively on the #86 and #11 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in WorldSSP. On the contrary to the Italian rider that is continuing his campaign, Smith will be present as a wild card both in this round and in Qatar. Further to the good performance shown in Magny-Cours (FRA), the team will have the goal to confirm itself on the top positions in both classes.

The Argentinian circuit is 4.276 meters long and is characterized by the long back-straight that will allow riders to reach the highest speed of the whole championship. The first and third sectors are driven with the predominance of left-handers, 10, compared to the 7 right-handers. The mid sector is very fast due to the long straight.

The time zone will affect the schedule of European fans. Free practice for WorldSBK will get underway on Friday at 10:30 and 15:00 local time (GMT -3), while WorldSSP will get on track at 11:30 and 16:00. FP3 will be on Saturday at 11:00 for the Superbike and at 11:30 for Supersport. WorldSBK will run the Superpole at 13:00 and race one at 16:00, while WorldSSP will run its Superpole at 13:40. Superbike will kick off the racing Sunday at 11:00 with the warm-up, while the Superpole Race will be at 13:00 and race two will close the event at 16:00. The 600cc riders will run their warm-up at 11:25 and the race will follow at 14:15.

SKY Sport MotoGP (CH 208 SKY) will broadcast the racing action of the event in Italy on Saturday and Sunday. TV8 (CH 8 Freeview) will show race one at 21:00 (Italian time) on Saturday, while the Superpole Race will be on Sunday at 18:00 and race two at 21:00. Eurosport 1 (CH 210 SKY) will cover live all the WorldSBK races and the Superpole of the highest class. The website www.worldsbk.com will cover all the sessions through the Video Pass service.

Lucio Pedercini – Team Manager:
“We go back to El Villicum resolute to do well especially in WorldSSP after the positive weekend in Magny-Cours. The Argentinian circuit is challenging, air temperatures will reach 30°C and the setup of bikes will have to take into account higher tyre degradation levels compared to the round held in France two weeks ago. We will try to allow our riders to show their full potential taking it one step at a time starting from the data we will collect in free practice, especially with Jordi who has never competed at this racetrack”.
