22.09.2019 – Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions’ sporting programme is being completed as the preparation ahead of the next Motul FIM World Superbike Championship is under way. Lorenzo Savadori (ITA) has signed a two years deal to compete next to Jordi Torres (ESP) on another Kawasaki Ninja ZX10-RR.
Lorenzo Savadori, class 1993, will be back among the fields of the Italian team six years after the last time. This will be a double comeback for the rider from Cesena: from the one side this new sporting partnership will allow him to contest again the World Superbike Championship after the experience he had in 2016-2018, and from the other he will wear again the colors of Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions after the two exciting seasons of 2013 and 2014.
Savadori is certainly one of the most talented Italian riders. After some years in MotoGP class 125, he made his debut in Superstock 1000 FIM Cup 2011 on Kawasaki, and successfully continued the experience in this category until the end of the 2015 campaign, when he secured the World title. In 2013 and 2014 Savadori contested this category for the team led by Lucio Pedercini taking fifth in 2013 and a spectacular second in 2014 after an exciting battle with Leandro Mercado that ended at the last corner of the closing round.
In 2016, 2017 and 2018 Savadori competed in the Motul FIM World Superbike Championship, where his best result was the tenth place in 2016. In this season he has been competing in the new FIM Enel MotoE World Cup and in the Italian ELF Superbike Championship where he claimed two wins and four podiums so far.
This important new step for the team led by Lucio Pedercini will increase the presence in the Superbike Championship but Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions will also continue competing in the Supersport championship.
Lorenzo Savadori – Rider:
“I am really happy to come back to the Motul FIM World Superbike Championship and especially on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX10-RR run by Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions. This is certainly going to be a great adventure and, needless to say, I will give my 100% from the word go. I would like to thank Lucio and all the team that gave me this chance and warmly welcomed me. I cannot wait to get on track to test the bike and work at all the details for season 2020”.
Lucio Pedercini – Team Manager:
“I would like to thank Global Service Solutions for the crucial support they provided us to make the team grow and to extend our presence in the Motul FIM World Superbike to two bikes with the arrival of Lorenzo. This is going to be a very interesting challenge and I believe that Lorenzo and Jordi will make a very high level pairing. I have always been watching Lorenzo and, after the years we spent together in Superstock, we never doubted his value. While devising Team Pedercini Racing by Global Service Solutions’ project he was the obvious choice for the WorldSBK and this is why I am happy and proud for welcoming him back in one of the most important historic moments for our team. I send him my warmest welcome to the team, or better, my warmest welcome back”.
